Coach Ajay Singh loved his first game as head coach of the frosh boys basketball team at Lynbrook, watching his squad weather a tough first quarter before lowering the boom on visiting Milpitas. The Vikes and Trojans were tied at 12 after one quarter, but Lynbrook was able to slowly pull away in the 2nd quarter to have a slight lead at the half.
The vikes played fast and were able to transition well, resulting in a nice 3rd quarter run that put the game away for good. Also aiding in the run was a series of top of the key steals by the guards that led to layups on the other end.
Guard Noah Brown had a standout effort for the Vikes.
The frosh return Saturday as part of a true triple-header against visiting Capuchino.
