The Boys Freshman Basketball team dropped their second game to Menlo School in less than two weeks on a rainy Friday afternoon. Having lost by ten points a week and a half ago, the team was back with near full availability of players but it made little difference as they game played out almost identically to the first.

While the Vikes did jump out to a very early lead, they collapsed in man defense and allowed five three pointers in the game along with numerous back door cuts. Describing the defensive effort, Head Coach Jeff Bale simply said, "Awful." The critical difference was the 3rd quarter where, behind by just two points, the Vikes lost the quarter 13-7 before stumbling into a very slow 4th quarter. Lynbrook did add several baskets in the last two minutes by Rishi Dommeti and Kevin Li, but it didn't make up for overall poor 4th quarter performance such as going 1/6 from three throws in another sub 50% shooting night from the charity stripe.

With the loss, Lynbrook falls to 8-12 on the season with four games to play. The Vikes hope to rebound in less than 24 hours as they take on Wilcox in Santa Clara at noon on Saturday.
