The Boys Freshman Basketball team traveled to Morgan Hill Friday afternoon to take on the Sobrato Bulldogs. The away game was the second matchup of the year for the two teams, the first being back in November for the Vikes first game of the year. In that matchup, the Vikes prevailed in an intense defensive game 29-21.

In similar fashion, the game started out with a 35 second shot-clock violation on the Bulldogs and the entire quarter was reminiscent of the pre shot-clock era. The Vikings led 5-2 after a quarter. Both teams took on a load of physicality as the referees led both teams play and kept foul calls to an absolute minimum. At one point in the 2nd quarter, with the score 11-6 in favor of the Vikings, no team scored for a full five minutes. After the half, the Viking defense began to generate some steals and Lynbrook took the lead to double digits. Lucas "Question" Su hit a desperation three pointer at the end of the third quarter which brought the lead to fifteen. The Viking held on to the lead, winning 36-21 and seeing action from all ten players for the first time in over a month. "Question" led the Vikes with 9 points. Owen Huang added 13 rebounds.

The Freshman team plays their fourth game of the week tomorrow at Willow Glen.
