BOYS FROSH BASKETBALL DROPS SIXTH STRAIGHT

Boys Frosh Basketball Drops Sixth Straight

BALL IS LIFE

Baller University | 1/9/2024

The Boys Frosh Basketball team continue to crater as the team dropped it's sixth game in a row on Tuesday afternoon with a 54-44 loss. The roster, limited to only five active players for the game, was dampened due to suspensions for missing team activity and ongoing injuries. One starter was lost to an ankle sprain Monday night, another fractured a finger in last week's loss to Burlingame. All five eligible players had to play a full 32 minute game on Tuesday against a Menlo squad with plenty of fresh reserves. One player will be suspended for Wednesday's matchup.

Despite the numbers challenge, the Vikes hit a number of three pointers to keep them within about a dozen throughout the game. The lack of quality conditioning by the players was evident as several stumbled through the second half. The Vikes will meet Menlo again next week in a match up that hopes to promise a better outcome for the Vikings with more players available. Head Coach Jeff Bale was quoted as saying, "Actions have consequences, and tonight the team paid for those actions. Hopefully it'll teach them something about commitment to the program."

The Frosh Vikes play again tomorrow against Emerald High School.
