The JV Boys Basketball Team rolled to victory on Saturday during a tripleheader at Jefferson (Daly City). The JV Vikes struck quick and built a 17-0 lead before the host Grizzlies battled back to get within six as it stood 26-20 at half. Yet the Vikes struck again in the third quarter and got back to business. They ended up blowing out Jefferson 58-38 with a fast-paced attack. The Vikes now move to league play starting next week with Saratoga. The Freshman opened up the tripleheader with a bungling mess of a game. Once again limited in numbers, the frosh committed an almost unthinkable thirty-nine turnovers in a 51-38 loss. The Frosh return against a challenging Burlingame next week. Lynbrook Varsity took a lead into halftime after a strong 2nd quarter, but blew a fourth quarter advantage being outscored 25-7 in the final 8 minutes to lose 68-59. The Varsity Vikes also start their league campaign this upcoming week against Saratoga and Homestead.
