Day 2 of the Boys Basketball Tournament has set up an exciting final day on Saturday of hoops action. In the first game of the day on Friday, the Homestead Mustangs defeated the Raiders of Silver Creek to advance to the Consolation Finals on Saturday. The Eagles of Los Altos rose to the occasion, defeating host Lynbrook 48-43 to also advance to the Consolation Finals. Silver Creek and Lynbrook will start things off on Saturday in the Friendship Game. In the back half of the games, Prospect fell to the Gunn Titans 47-41. Gunn advanced to the Championship game for the 2nd year in a row. In the final game of the night, Buchanan rode a strong 2nd quarter to outpace American and reach the final. Prospect and American will meet in the 3rd place game. The annual 3-point Shootout will occur at 4:30 PM, between the completion of the Consolation Final and the 3rd Place Game.
